Almond Soy Kale |
INGREDIENTS |
|
DIRECTIONS |
Half a bunch fresh Kale |
|
Rinse fresh Kale. Cut or rip into 2-inch
pieces. |
2 Tbsps Almond Butter 1-2 Tbsps Soy sauce 1 Tbsp minced
shallot |
Optional - start by steaming (blanching) kale for 1-2 minutes.
(Or go straight to pan / wok) Optional - sautee shallot and garlic
in Coconut oil until clear or lightly brown. Heat pan or wok with
coconut oil Add Kale to hot pan or wok and sautee for 1-2 minutes,
uncovered, so moisture evaporates. |
1 tsp minced garlic |
1 Tbsp coconut oil |
Prepare sauce: In small bowl, start with
Almond Butter, and slowly add soy sauce, mixing it in, until a medium
brown sauce results. Adjust amount of soy to your personal taste -
desired "salty"ness. |
|
|
|
|
|
Add Almond-Soy sauce to Kale and mix / spread
thoroughly. Finish sauteeing Kale until bright green, but before it
starts to shrink or wilt. |
NOTE: Serves 2. If you want the Kale
crunchier, use higher heat, a bit more coconut oil, and wait until very
end to add the Almond-Soy sauce. |
